Carbohydrates and Your Body

Are There Any Good Carbs?

Understanding How the Body Uses Carbs for Fuel

Below is an adapted excerpt from the chapter on Carbohydrates taken from Dr. Sean Woods’ book, “The Healing Vibe.”

When people think of carbs, breads and pastas frequently come to mind. But did you know carbohydrates also include simple sugars like fruits and vegetables? When starting a cleanse, I often suggest switching to a strict fruit and vegetable diet—which can be a bit blow to the body. These simple sugars go right to work and begin providing fuel, hydrating, and cleaning the body. Patients who are used to more complex carbohydrates can be left feeling hungry, dissatisfied, and may experience drops in sugar levels. But there is a payoff to sticking it out!

Fruits and vegetables pull water into a cell, creating hydration. The astringing effect of the fruits and vegetables break up the congestion. This is especially true when working on fixing a gluedup mesentery. Correcting a mesentery includes loosening up stagnant lymph and meridians, repairing organs, and loosening up a tight body.

Training your body to use good clean carbon for its fuel source is key to winning the battle on health.
