Understanding the Role of the Mesentery

Path to a Healthier Digestive System

Below is an adapted excerpt from the chapter on Fascia, taken from Dr. Sean Woods’ book, “The Healing Vibe.”

The body’s super highway, the fascia compartmentalizes every aspect of our body, moving materials both chemically and electrically through it. The center of these fascial connections is at the solar plexus – third chakra –diaphragm, liver, gallbladder, stomach, pancreas, and transverse colon. From here, the fascia spreads out to every aspect of the body. A portion of the food we digest absorbs into this fascia.

When the fascial system dries up or there is scarring, information and materials need to be rerouted or may fail to arrive at all. We see this happen as a result of poor posture, injury, lack of movement, toxic build up, surgeries, and bad food choices. Hyaluronic acid is a product made by the body that carries nutrients in the fascia. The food you choose to eat and your microbiome, when healthy, make healthy hyaluronic acid. When hyaluronic acid is compromised, the fascia will slow down or shut down, depending on the Ph of the area.
